once you re rout them you have to mess with the addjusters on the line or they will keep binding. some bikes dont do it but i have put 4 pairs of DB bars on 636s and 3 of the 4 had to be readjusted or no matter what you did they would bind

no they should run str8 behind the fork tubes and up to the bottom of the bar. you do not need to take off the gas tank.

Re: plz help 636 with dirt bike bars

finnaly got the throttle cables done but now my next problem happened the brake line was like 4 inches to short so took one of my ktm and used it but damn the brakes i cant get them to bleed is there a special sequence since there is 2 calipers or do u have to take the calipers off the bike?

Re: plz help 636 with dirt bike bars

Bleed the farther caliper first, longer line, and if u wanna speed things up finda clear hose that's tight on bleeder nipple and put on n open bleeder n suck on hose. Soon as u see fluid in hose about an inch close bleeder n remove hose. Do closer caliper same way. Then bleed regularly and done. Yeah sucking on the hose is dirt n sounds gay but not everyone has 50 bucks fora vacume bleeder and I'm not patient. Hope it helps ya..

Re: plz help 636 with dirt bike bars

MUCH EASIER WAY TO BLEED BRAKES---

get a small hose the will fit over the bleeder nipple and then a small contaner to bleed the fluid into bleed on calip at a time and keep pumping and adding flid to the master and keep the hose in the fluid that got bled out this works everytime no air can get back in because the hose is in fluid and it sucks some back up instead of air do the same on the other side should be good got this method from G-REG

Re: plz help 636 with dirt bike bars

Yeah its from RV section at walmar they have adjustable and non adjustable mine u can adjust so I took the cheap tape off loosened the thing to keep the kid on hot glued it then tightened the cap holder back against the mirror so it keeps it from vibrating out of adjustment just so u know the best way to do it ... Cause I had a bunch of trial and error .

Re: plz help 636 with dirt bike bars

see i had the same problem i raised mine so much that i needed to get a longer brake line cable but the awnser for your clutch cable is no make sure that the thing (bracket)under your gas tank that normally holds your throttle cables is removed and on mine i had to run the clutch cable inbetween the barmounts and under the bars ..... that was my situation
