Anyone with a 03 04 636 and a volt meter please help me! I measured mine and with the bike off it reads 12.6, and with the motor running at idle it drops to 12.1 12.2, but if reved up any above idle it goes up to about 13.5, and with high beams on and reved up it reads 14.2 or so. I just was kinda worried about how it drops so low at idle...

 

Your good. The spec. says at 4500rpm is what you check your voltage. Should be between 13.5-14.5 volts. Idle does not matter.

 

i was workin on my buddys 03 r1 and his was puttin out high 13s at idle and high 14 when revved... it just seems weird mines so low at idle. i figured it would be atleast 12.7 or so.
