PLZ Help a newb setup his R6s for stuntin so him n bike dont die!!!!!

Ive been riding bikes for about 6 years now on an off for fun an here just recently Ive decide I would like to get into stunting pretty seriously an not just screw around with it but treat it as an actual job.
Anywayzzz In order to fund this decsion of mine I sold off one of my cars. I now own a minty fresh 06 R6s this bike is just for the streets an will not be getting hacked up or clapped out from parking lot stunt riding.
I also picked up a blue 04 r6 with a salvage/rebuilt title that had already been fixed. The 04 r6 will be my stunt bike. I have already ordered most of the stunt parts ill need but to save my life I cant decide on which cage, which DB bars or clip-ons, or subframe/rear peg sub cage I want?

WHICH CAGE: I have narrowed it down to either the TIGERSHARK cage, or a SI crash cage. Price does not matter to me as I said I sold a car an have plenty of money to work with right now. Also I really really dont want to drill holes in my plastics to mount the cage if I can avoid that it would be great.

WHICH HANDLEBAR SETUP: most of my friends run DB bars BUT i have been leaning more towards clip-ons because I plan on dropping this bike alot while learning an DB bars can bend an they also look odd on full fairing bikes. I refuse to cut into my front plastics for handlebar clearence issue......which clip-ons can I run that wont interfer with my uncut front plastic? I like to run my bars pretty far forward an I know clearence will be a big issue with uncut plastic. Oh an what the hell angle do I get 10,7,5,0, upward angle, downward angle i dont have a clue. 1" rise 2" rise no rise???

WHICH SUBFRAME? the subframes on these bikes are stupid weak. I was thinking of just buying a rear peg sub-cage for the time being until I actually break my stock subfame. There are a couple different ones on the market now which one do you guys prefer.....also foldable rear pegs or solid mount pegs?

The money I got from selling my car is burning a hole in my pocket I want to get my lot bike setup asap so I can try to rid myself of this squidlyness as quickly an painlessly as possible

Re: PLZ Help a newb setup his R6s for stuntin so him n bike dont die!!!!!

solid pegs on a subcage do more damage than good especially on a bike with a weak subframe , folding pegs will fold up during most crashes and not put extra strain on the subframe ..

omr subcages have an improved peg position to keep your leg from pressing so hard against the tail section and i rotate the peg mounts forward on there axis so you are standing on the grippy part of the peg instead of the slippery side and as a bonus this keeps your pegs from wanting to fold up while you are standing on them ..

yea one of the first things i did to the bike was to remove the rear plastic tail section to make it more comfortable on the legs

+1

but you cant put 636 clip ons on an 04 cuz theyre not 50mm. I'd put some sick innovations side mount clip ons with a 7 degree angle.

Another ?...........A-town sub-cage or OMR sub-cage?

OMR subcage is a little bit cheaper an has foldable pegs "BUT" it uses your stock rear pegs which are **** so I will need to buy bigger gripper aftermarket rear pegs with the omr thus offsetting the cheaper price of it.

The a-town subcage looks badass an has an option for fat pegs with sliders. also the a-town rear pegs look to be a little bit wider
/ like farther away from the subframe than omr's does, are they? wider is almost always better n more comfortable

Re: PLZ Help a newb setup his R6s for stuntin so him n bike dont die!!!!!

eric the stock rear pegs are not ''****'' the stock rear peg brackets are ''****'' the stock pegs are actually awesome when mounted to one of my subcages for a few reasons..

1- i rotate the peg mounts forward so you are standing on the grippy part of the peg instead of the slippery side of the peg ..

2- rotating the peg mount also keeps the peg from wanting to fold up while you are standing on it..

3- the stock peg brackets allow the stock pegs to aim down when you stand on them because the stock brackets flex , my subcages dont ..

Re: PLZ Help a newb setup his R6s for stuntin so him n bike dont die!!!!!

its all in preference when it comes to folding or solid but when you go with solid you have to run a good cage or the pegs will hit. so no FI !! LOL but you are goning to want to replace that subframe before you break it thats for sure. As for the subcage me or OMR are probably your best bet.

Re: PLZ Help a newb setup his R6s for stuntin so him n bike dont die!!!!!

ok guys thanks for all the input: heres the setup run down

CAGE: A-town customs
SUb-CAGE: omr
CLIP-ONS: stock r6s flipped, switched, an redrilled (for now)
SPROCKETS: 1 down front an 3 up rear (vortex) not gonna go crazy with the rear sprocket size until I get my skillz up.
12-BAR: i dont have a clue yet I figure ill get me a 12 bar once my stock subframe snaps an I have to replace that aswell. prolly go with C4 revolutions for sure on the subframe.
