this is what i accomplished in 5 1/2 hours yesterday with a grinder, welder, and a tape measure!!! not trying to step on anyones toes here... just didnt have the $$ to buy one... this is just tack welded together... im finishing up the welding today and rattle canning it to match the other metal on my bike.. this is my 07 zx6r

Thats not bad i made mine i made a full subframe and sub cage built all into one cause i kept on breaking them chinsy subframes but anyways i made it out of 4130 cromoly it came out perfect and my tire dont rub on mine i built it a lil diffrently tho even coming down hard on stoppies my tire still dont rub the cross member but you'll just have to ride it i see your using a chicage mig welder if you heat that metal with a torch it will weld a hell of a lot better trust me but good luck and good job

 

cant you read where it says PROTOTYPE?!?! i rode on it yesterday and purposley slammed down high stoppies and it never once touched... if it does.. if... than i will change the design of it... im sry i dont get "free" stuff from my "sponsors" by telling them i broke it but what really happened is you sold the one that was given to you and screwed your sponsor... im really not gonna take your opinion into consideration seeing how you have a mile long rap sheet from screwing ppl over...

 

 

 

i think the design is unique and atleast no one will talk **** saying you copied the design..lol..i def. would get/make some short delrin sliders/caps for the end of pegs or those bad boyz will shank your ***...also it looks like you raked the pegs upwards for better position???

 

That exhaust has to be crazy loud lol

 

I think it looks good. There is always a sense of satifaction when you create something on your own rather then buying someones else product.

That exhaust needs a chrome tip

 

Looks like a cool design. does having the pegs raked upward a little make a noticeable difference?

Watch the bracing on the peg. It is lacking support in the front and back plane.

pegs are at an angle for better grip... tire still hasnt hit once... and i can take constructive critism... havent dealt with slidewayz and never will... but have talked to a bunch of ppl that have and its not good feedback.. and i lurk around here on a daily and for awhile all you saw was bad threads about slidewayz... the exhaust tip is courtsey from advanced autoparts... 45 degree bend exhaust slash cut.. lol... it is spray painted hi temp silver... chrome would b too much $$ for me to do... bwahahaha.... i have the stock can for it but it looks like **** since i dont have any of the other tail plastics.... thankx to everyone who had something nice to say about my design... like i mentioned in the headline... its a prototype... more than likley will have changes... i was just in a big hurry to get something done for this weekend cuz !!A2K!! and i have a benefit show tomorrow and i had broken my stock brackets last weekend

 

and yes i was gonna put a small delrin slider on the end of the peg for just cause.... i dont wanna end up like Chizzy from Canton biker Boyz... **** was NASTY!!!

take your grinder and a small disc and hit your pegs in a chirs cross pattren for a little texture thats what i did helps with the grip to

 

Ya i put grip tape on the pegs for better grip... Rode all day today with no rubbing of the tire... This thing is solid!!! The angled pegs are perfect and my foot will never slip off of these... Im gonna pat myself on the back for this one... Next project is to find a steering damper... Innovation with imagination, not imitation!!! Thankx everyone for feedback!!
