clip onsssss! The age old tale continues!!
I know clip ons have been discussed until they are officialy beat into the ground. But, thers just one thing I need help with. I have an 05 f4i with a 929 front end. I run my clip ons up top and my tire rubs the rad. If I run them below the clamp no issues. I know Hoehy makes the solution. But what I wanna know is, is there anyonme sliding their clip ons a little above the fork tubes so that they stick up a lil above the forks to fix the clearance issue. Can someone fill me in?????

I even run shitty protek clip ons, only 1 bolt holding them on, and I ran them hanging halfway off for over 6 months
Re: clip onsssss! The age old tale continues!!
if you got room, take the stock bottom radiator mount arm thingy off,cut it a lil shorter and drill a new mounting hole to get your radiator a lil closer to the header thus moving it away from your tire,it just might be enough to clear the tire, not sure though, just a simple, cheap, suggestion.

Get at Talen With DCP he makes some stainless steel riser bars for cheap... These make it so you can run the clip ons under the tree and still get that little extra hight on the bar its self.

Thats the thing, I want to see if what I have is good. I do not wanna soend any cash if I dont have to.. Tha makes sense rite? I mean if everyone says no it wont work you gotta buy this that or the other thing great!!! But if everyone says im straight and can get by with just runnin the clip ons a lil higher than the forks than thats a what Im agunna do...

+1000 OMR told ya 2 times now. Flip ur top triple over cut/grind off the where ur ignition bolts to and ur good. Just have to put ur ignition in another spot. What clip-ons are u using? My boy has the 929 front end on his f4i and run 636 clip-ons on top and has no problem. But just flip the triple and u should be good
Re: clip onsssss! The age old tale continues!!
I just dont see how flippin a 929 triple will gimme more room. 636 triples are angled in the opposite direction than the 929.. .I can see where they help but on a 929 flipping it just doesnt achieve the same thing the 636 does. I must be confused damnn!!!!!
