newbie here with a ?

Well im brand new to the stunt game, and im havn a lil trouble with my bike. I just got an 02 zx6r, and i was out practicing with it, just kind poppin up the front and back tires. well after a few of each, my bike died, and now it wont start. Now before this it started every time no problem. I dont know to much about bikes, im learning to stunt and learning the bike at the same time. Any advice as to why this would happen just doin baby stoppies and baby wheelies?

Re: newbie here with a ?

the 02's have a wheelie deny switch. the bike shuts off after a few wheelies. when the cops see you pushing your bike they'll know its cuz u was doin wheelies and take you to jail.

welcome to the site! I don't know crap about your bike bit I would start looking for a loose or disconnected wire or something. Does your bike have a tipover switch? Maybe it got jarred...? Does bike turn over? Spark? Start simple..... best of luck!

I had to bypass the wheelie deny switch on my F4i OMR taught me how to do it... Took me all day but after I spliced a few wires I was rockin them all day!

Re: newbie here with a ?

doesnt sound like ur hittin the tip sensor but if that bike has one i would definitely jump it. youll be glad come the day ur bike wouldve decided to shut itself off. i would start simple first. check ur battery terminals. if that doesnt work try to find someone with the exact same bike and swap the ecu. if that doesnt work buy a 636! haha good luck

Same problem here, Suzuki's have had S3 technology for years (SSS) Suzuki Squid Solenoid. When the bike senses its on an incline greater than 20 degrees it shuts down.

Re: newbie here with a ?

well im pretty sure its got something to do with fuel, like it aint getting any. When hit starter button, it just turns over and over. Bike was running tiptop, and then I get out there and bring the back tire off the ground a lil bit and the fuckn dont wanna work anymore. trying to figure it out by the manual is a headache too. FML.

Re: newbie here with a ?

hey beardo, I totally appreciate the help. The fuel line was the 1st thing I checked and im sure thats not it. The bike does have a fuel pump and filter. Im gonna grab some new spark plugs and throw em in and see if thats the problem. Ive got the Cali model zx6r so there are fuel cut valves on the bike, im wondering if that could be the problem but to be honest i dont know enough to start messing with that stuff, so im trying everything else first.

Fuel cut valves? It doesn't just have a recirculating exhaust canister that feeds back into the air box? Crazy. On my old 99 R6 I had a Cali model and that's all it had extra. Just valves coming off each cylinder from the head running to a carbon canister then back to the airbox or throttle bodies can't remember which honestly. If you are having problems with the fuel pump then you can more than likely remove it and just let it gravity feed. Don't quote me on that though because I'm not sure how those are setup. Since you apparently still haven't checked to see if you have spark go ahead and do that while you are changing the plugs just do it for each coil and ground it out and see if it sparks. New plugs aren't going to help **** if they aren't getting the power they need.
