Brake help (again...)

Quick rundown, I have a dual quad setup, just swaped pads to a lower material ( just to get me through the day, the oter pads fell apart) I did a wheelie and when I set it down I had NO rear brake. I pumped it for a while and finally came back, next wheelie was fine, then it would randomely happen again??????

You gotta trim the pads with the dual quad setup cause the pads overhang the rotor. "Eventually the pads will touch together where they aren't contacting the rotor. When this happens, you have no handbrake."
I have the same setup and still haven't trimmed my pads tho...

you may just need to add fluid btu it is more likely that you cooked the fluid so you should change it because every time you boil the fluid you lower the boil point so it happens easier and easier ..

Re: Brake help (again...)

there has gotta be something wrong

i'd just swap the fluid out with some cheap stuff for now if you haven't changed it in a while (once you find out you are good on cheap fluid, then buy the good stuff)

Also are both your brakes going out, or just the foot or handbrake?

If its both most likely the rotor is bent. If it's just one or the other, inspect the caliper pistons closely, as well as the master, and make 100% sure there is no leak..

And when you say you swaped pads to get you through the day... What do you mean by that?
You shouldn't be just going through brake pads like crazy... This isn't like tires where you wear them out in a month or three, and if you do, you are doing something wrong!

there is a good chance you have air in the lines. try bleeding both your foot and hand brake really well, and see if that helps. I got mine hook up over the weekend, and both are solid.

Re: Brake help (again...)

I swaped the pads because I had a set that were on the callipers when I bought them, and the pad material came apart from the metal backing. Also I've bled a million times, i don't think it's fluid because it works amazingly right after, it does it randomely and it's not a little difference , it's all or nothing

sounds like brake fade , change the fluid and while you are there check to make sure you dont have a caliper hanging up
