Bike stalled in a wheelie

So a couple days ago I was riding down route 83 (highway) and came to a nice long straight away about 2 miles so I decided to do a squid type pow pow. I was up for about 10 sec then the bike slamed down. In my head I'm thinking I don't think I was that close to the rev limiter so I put it in 3rd and clutched it up and 2 sec after bringing it up it crashes down again and first thing I think is my motor is praly fucked. Then a light bulb goes off and I'm like **** I have no gas in the tank figured I'd share my squid adventure

I've definitely done that a couple couple times but they don't come down nicely and i definitely thought the bike was just being stubborn but it was just me
