Just checked and the radiators are the same for 03-05 R6 and 06-09 R6s. Only difference is the '05 came stock with two smaller fans and the others came with the single larger fan but all the radiators have the same part number and show they could be ran with two fans too. Hells yea, might have to find me some 05 fans if they work better.

Saweet, did not now that. I wonder if they kept that design on the R6s for 06-09 or if they went back to the 03-04 style. Guess I'm going to look it up.

just sayin.... Re: Okay well my **** has been overheating all the time and here is my solution
and kinda off topic but kinda on lol when your **** is over heating, get header wrap and gut your thermostat....it helps ALOT especially the header wrap. these radiators are so close to the headers and pull so much heat from them
Re: Okay well my **** has been overheating all the time and here is my solution
Has anyone traced the issue of overheating to it's origion?
If your radiator is okay and fan comes on when it should be then what could be wrong?
The valve? the gasket?
Here is what I think going on. If you have your rpm setup high and you doing pleanty of stunting bike is going to get hotter quicker. (common sence)
And if radiator is okay the fan is okay and fan comes on when it should then most like something is wrong within engine.
The valve don't just fail that easy and if no smoke comming out means no collant leaking through gasket, you can assure this if you find collant getting less every week/day.
Now this leads to cylinder and bore where heat is produced. if through so much use and wear, there could be a small gap between the cylinder and the bore and now that gap is enough to pass lots of heat to engine body which gets hotter even quicker and frequently because rpm are high, riding in low gear and the GAP. If you synch throttle you will find very low compression in gaped bore compare to other cylinder when synching.
Anyother Input/theory is welcome.

Re: Okay well my **** has been overheating all the time and here is my solution
the cooling systems on newer bikes are designed to be as small and light as possible and they are also assuming the bike will be moving alot and getting plenty of air across the radiator but when you have your idle cranked up and are doing slow wheelies you are not getting alot of air across the radiator ..

do you mean stoppie
