Re: Need Title Help
Do what I told u to do bro. Read back on the 1st page. If u don't want to do it, I'll do it for u and send u the title back in my name signed. Then u can register it in ur name. U just pay me through paypal before I send it back to ya.
Re: Need Title Help
Look I had the exact same problem happen to me here in FL with a bagged truck I bought an sold. I signed it planning to keep it, sold it cause I was broke an needed the money badly. paid off some debts, the guy calls me a week later an told me DMV will not give him a title cause I signed it an didnt register it. I HAD to register it first befor selling it period. I asked if I could just white out my name an put his, they said it would void the title an the original owner would have to come in an apply for a new title. Not worth the risk of him reclaiming the truck for free. I had to come up with the tax's an fees totaling 140 bucks. Previously on a bike with no title an no ability to contact the owner (He was on death row) after 2years I finnaly got a friend in a tow company to "tow" it impound it for 30 days an file for title after thee owners did not want to pay the towing an impound fees. costed me 600 bucks. Mechanics lean is your ONLY hope

Re: Need Title Help
Hope that works, But I know it don't here in Fort myers DMV. they just say **** outta luck. they will NOT help you let alone give you any forms..Thats why I sometimes got to palmdales DMV.They dont really care about ****.
Re: Need Title Help
It's their form, it's the legal way to do it. They can't really say "no we don't have that form". But I know what ur saying about certain DMV's. For instance in Orlando FL the one in Winter Park has a bunch of fat old bitches working there that just try and give u a hassle. I don't go there anymore, I use the one in Apopka or Altamonte Springs now. Less hassle.

Re: Need Title Help
Basicly they just wield there knowledge of the system aginst you instead of doing there jobs.lol.Witch would probably be easier than avoiding the work. Lazyness. There is always a way to get something or get something done, you just have to figure out how to get around technicalitys.lol

Re: Need Title Help
ok heres my problem i traded my f4i for a 600rr while we were out at the spot one day my f4i had no title and 600rr had clean title but he had it at home, it was a guy i rode with so i was like cool just mail it to me, he lived in winston salem and i lived in charlotte anyway he mails me the title and a week later he moves to florida, well it is a Virginia title and it is a clean title but heres where the problem is, the guy he bought it from signed it in the sellers spot as he was supposed to but marc signed it also (in buyers box) but he never sent it off so now i have a title that is still in the first owners name but has marc's name signed in the buyers line and also printed above it....what the hell do i do i cant very well drive to florida have him send it off and pay the taxes on it, 1. because i have no way of getting in touch with him and 2. i dont know the original owner, im stuck.....anyone have any possitive insight for me?
Quit asking people here about it. I'm no expert, but I've transferred dozens of titles and I know enough to know all states have different VTR laws and what works one place won't necessarily work in another. In fact the laws in my state change slightly every year.
Asking on a nationwide board will get you misinformation provided from people in other states.
Go to your local title/tax/VTR/DMV/whateverthefuckitscalledinyourstate office and ask the people there what your options are. While they tend to be unfriendly it is their job to help you and they will know more about what it takes than anyone on this board. Also, ask people on a localized bike/car board as they will also be more likely to give you better answers on what your options are.
You might ask the people at the office about a surety bond/bonded title - While the actual process is going to be different state to state the concept is basically universal. Don't make this harder than it has to be screwing around with multi-state title transfers, fake liens, or whatever else.
Cliffs; go to your local state office dealing with vehicle registration and ask them what your options are, ask people on a LOCAL board what you can do, there are generally several ways to make this happen - don't choose a path that makes it harder than it has to be.
