striping my 636
I took all my fairings off today and i have my speedo and intake in the front i need to take off. but should i worry about messing with any of my electrical ****? also what do you guys do with the lines running from your front tire over the fender? one other thing, i need new tries and i was wondering if burning that tire off the rim would do more damage than its worth?
Re: striping my 636
Why are you moving the brake lines??? As for the electrical stuff. If you know anything about wires I wouldnt worry about it much. I have many times cut open a harness and swapped out bad wires with new ones. Dont cut any of the plugs or wires and youll be fine. The tire you should take off properly. Dont be a idiot and burn it off, youll spend more time trying to get all the rubber off your undertray than it would to take the tire off with some soap and a bead popper.

Why not leave the fender on then?
Hey and if you need tires man and you are in Lubbock, go hit up Family power sports, Watts yamaha, and I-27 Suzuki. I used to get pull offs from those places all the time. You could find some pretty good tires sometimes. Wasn't too rare to find a set of new or almost new tires. I got a few sets of Diablo Corsa 3's and metzler M3's out there that had all the chalk and everything. Some how got a nail in it and was replaced. I just plugged 'em and they were great. Just go to the service area. At watts it's a separate building back behind the dealership, at I-27 it's a little shack thing to the left of the dealership, and at family it's around the right side of the building through the gate. Just go ask those guys if you can look through the tires. They were always cool with us coming and scooping up tires for free.
