Exclamation engine problems

02 gsxr750-earlier today i noticed a funny shhh/rattling type sound, it only does it around 4-5 thousand rpm's, mostly makes it when decelerating, it's scaring me cause it sounds like its coming from the head area possibly valve train, anyone have any idea what it could be? i was thinking possibly cam chain tensioner but im not sure, the bikes only got 2900 miles on it, some what abused miles. it's not a loud sound either, you have to pay attention to hear it

i just went out and pulled all the plugs and made sure all the bolts were tight, all look good, it doesn't make the sound at all before 4 grand, but after that it's real noticable now, definatly coming from the head. i looked and couldn't find the cam chain tensioner,im thinkin the 02 doesnt have one, but i don't know a whole lot about my motor, but im hopin it's not valvetrain cause thats definatly what it's startin to look like, damn thing doesnt even have 3g miles on it

yea i do have a warranty, but i never had the first service done by the dealer, i didn't have the 180 or whatever the hell they wanted, i just did everything myself except the valves who a lot of different shops said was ridiculous to check after 600miles. so im probably gonna take it back anyways and maybe have a local shop right up a r/o, but im just worried there gonna give me some bullshit or say i abused the bike, dealerships

sounds just like your cam chain tensioner. I'd get a manual one from aperacing.com. they are under 50 bucks i think.
