Money and stunting

Anyone making good living?
I went to college and still broke. and I am hard working person.

So what is best to do; where you invest little and make tons. let say 10k-20k investment or even lower and you make good living (NOT 40k-60k). good living where I am is probably 80k and above.

Please also post. How much you make a year and what you do?
I know there is another post which lists "how much pros really make"
https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/2-s...post+jobs+make
but here you can add more what you should have done to make more money.

Off topic sorry.

Pfft the weedman. Son grow your own! I did for 7 years. Never bought bud since high school. a $400 investment would keep you supplied year round with some bomb dank if you do **** right and get some good genetics. **** paying $400+ an oz when you can spend $400 start up and about an extra $40 a month electricity to pull 4-8 ozs every 8 weeks. Just don't tell anyone and get your odor control on lock. Then you don't have to play the games of going and getting, not to mention you know how it was grown, cured and the quality is consistent. Wish I could still do it still but I got a kid on the way and I work for a reference lab as a molecular pathologist. All good though enjoyed it while I got to.

Ok back on topic. Are you talking about any job or stunting strictly? What do you have your degree in? You said you went to college. You just have a bachelors? If so maybe you should go back and get a masters. I took a lower paying job with great opportunites, only making ~$55K a year. Could have been making $83K out in Phoenix, AZ. Not a fan of the area though, that and the place I work for is just now getting started and I was the first person hired for research and development. They are partners with ARUP which is a large lab in Utah that processes millions of patient samples every year, that is what we plan on getting to. Should be processing about a million or so a year within the first 3 years. So there will be plenty of room to move up instead of taking a higher paying job that I wouldn't have any future opportunities at unless a medical director dies or something. We do testing for all kinds of stuff from cancer to infectious disease to hereditary diseases to allergies and immunology. Some of the stuff I've worked on for them includes STR analysis for tranplant patient monitoring, STR for paternity, HIV viral load, HBV viral load, cystic fibrosis genotyping, various cancer biomarkers(Kras/BRAF/EGFR/Ckit/Cmyc), H1N1 tamiflu resistance, and other infectious stuff like a respiratory virus panel. Yada yada yada, I really enjoy it. Bores the **** out of almost everyone else though.

its not always a definite that when you go to college your gonna have a good job, like dude said he's a plumber and he's laid off for 3 months til it picks bak up again...apply for a state or gov't job...you live in NY, its plenty of legal money out there, just gotta find it...go take the post office exam...thats where i've been since i was 19...and im 23 now...its a good job wit good money and good benefits...although you deal witta lotta bullshit, at the end of the day you all good...come 2 work do ya job and go home at the end of the day nah mean...jus keep a good head on your shoulders and you can make it to da top...idnt plan to be here foreva but igotta do wut igotta do for now...also...take the police exam, even NY officers get paid shitty to do so much i would do that just 2 get my foot in the door and transfer over sumwhere that tops out with mayb 90k-100k a year...apply for port authority...yo its hella money out here my dude, like i said you just gotta find it...holla at me

Keep your head high man. I'm sure you find something just jobs aren't very abundant in any field at the moment. I have engineer friends of pretty much every discipline/variety that are having problems finding jobs right now as well. So know you aren't alone. I was about to take a BS job detailing cars at a local dealership while I tried to secure a job utilizing my degree. In all honesty I lucked out to land this job here, I wasn't finding many jobs around here in Dallas when I was looking. You would have more luck if you were willing to relocate. The other jobs I looked at before getting my current position were in Phoenix, New York, Colorado, New Mexico, and Dallas. You might go over your resume, make sure it is current and has good key words for different techniques and tests you are familiar with and all that. You might want to post your resume on Science Careers too. http://sciencecareers.sciencemag.org/
