I cant seem to get this to work. i ran the wires from the harness directly to the toggle with the zener diode and resistor in there. why do you have the ignition pictured in the drawing?? is the toggle in line running to the ignition or something?

No, it's there to show how to set up either one, I wired mine so I could still use the ignition, I just stuffed it in the airbox.
Make sure you've got the BAS (bank angle sensor), clutch switch, and kickstand in order or she won't fire up.

I just did this mod on my Cbr 600f4i powered atv that had a bad diode. I still can't get the fuel pump relay to turn on and prime, pink wire is getting 6.3v to the ecu. What is the voltage suppose to be? Thanks

you show the zener diode in the stock ignition in its factory location in the pictures you have posted are you leaving in in there while your running the diode and resistor in a series on the pink wire?

I have this setup on my f4i with a ebay ignition that didnt come with a diode or resistor and the bike still isnt getting spark or fuel from the pump what else could it be now?

Will this not work if its not soldered because I just twisted the wires to the diodes and resistor? I was for sure this would work, I can get the pump to click on if I hot wire it straight to the battery but it wont click on

some one sticky this please...
so i got it togeather finally. radioshack got the (5.1 zener diode) and the (1 watt 1k ohm 5% resistor) you need. the ignition consists of four wires. ones the constant 12v, two go to the junction box(fuses), and then theres that damned pink wire. well i ran a 30amp toggle switch with on side going to the 12v wire and the other side going to the two junction box wires and an extra one hanging that i will conect to the pink...
now take that wire from the toggle and connect it to the zener diode, than take the black ring side of the zener and connect it to the resistor, than take the brown ring side of the resistor and connect it to the pink wire. make sure you solder and tape everthing nice and clean! put the bike back to geather and flip on the toggle and youll hear that sweet sound of that fuel pump priming!!! need any help pm me. and if you plan to use this info to steal a bike your a complete douch bag and i hope someone shoots you. well back to the lab for me, got some motor swappin to do.

what did you do bro?
I got a 02 cbr600 F4i and it has eBay ignition. I was reading on a different forum that a zener diode 3.9 1w is the correct one. That way you don't need a resistor.
Should i just get the zener diode and resistor?
