no dude... it wont work if u cross the cables... i burned to many fuses trying that crap... yes the cbr of that year has a tip over sensor and it is nessesary to start the bike, its impossible to over pass that sensor.. trust me i tryed red-green white-red gree-and all the ******* colors.. dont work that way.. yes i was pissed... and i had to but a sensor.. they go for like 30-50 bucs on ebay

You're an idiot. Yes you can bypass the tip over sensor, i've done it on 4 different 600rr and they never had problems... You can bypass ANY tip over sesor...
IIRC its a green and red wire on the 600rr, and then just leave the middle one alone..

Trace the 2 wires back to the next connector and splice them there...
the whole headlight harness has another connector somewhere on the bike so that you can remove the whole front end with harness attached.. Find that connector, and then find the right color wires ON THE HEADLIGHT harness side. Then on the other side of the connector (the main harness side) cut the wires and connect them..

sometimes connectors get rust build up while setting for long (esp. with honda). That happened with my rr had sensor though no head light connectors, it did cranck but no start.
took of tank, on the side where fuse box is pleanty of connectors on the air box took them off and cleaned them up and started right up. sometimes you can not see the rust on connectors but it is there so get the brush and clean with some cleaner. This may help elimnate other possibilites.
