Hell no...Can't run nothin like that cause when your jumpin around the bike n **** you could get caught on it or accidently pull the teather and end up killin the motor and eventually killin yourself. Not a very good idea my friend.

Re: Teather switches on stunt bikes

it sounds great when you think of it so your bike doesnt go into crowds of people, brick walls, or continue running when upside down, but like dude said if your doing a frog or something and that bitch malfunctions on you, oh boy.

Re: Teather switches on stunt bikes

what about a retractable lanyard that would connect to your belt?
that would allow any movement you needed and yet if you fell it would kill the bike.. or is this a matter of the cord being in your way when you go to put both feet on one side?

sorry im not a ''bike bike'' stunter so i wouldnt know how all that jazz works... my 50 just falls over and its done..

anything with a cord as a shutoff could be problematic. if you are moving around the bike or jumping around and your leg accidentally catches it, you just killed the bike while you arent situated. never a good thing

Re: Teather switches on stunt bikes

just put the kill switch in a position that you wont kick it or hit it. Sounds like a good idea because I got knocked off my bike at 70 MPH on the freeway. Bike never shut off nd it hydrolock along with other problems. Anyway a kill switch that shut off the bike would definately save your bike if the bank angle sensor has been removed. I just installed a lanyard killl switch on mine. I put in on the right side....super stealth facing downward and protected behind my acerbis. I am gonna attached that to my right arm.....

Re: Teather switches on stunt bikes

I remember WAAAAAY back when they decided it was a good idea to require tethered kill switches at comps at Englishtown, NJ. None of us thought that was very safe so we hooked them to the forks under the triple... no one ever checked to see if they worked so we rode like that all day hahaha
