gsxr 600 12oclock bar

I just got my 12 bar from powers stuntworx for my 2007 gsxr6. I took off all my plastics on the tail but can't figure out where to attach it to the subframe. Anyhelp is much appreciated

I can't believe Powers is still shipping. Although they might have had a 12 bar laying around so they boxed it up.

Re: gsxr 600 12oclock bar

When I installed my fi 12 bar I just put it where I wanted it, drilled the holes, and bolted it on and it worked fine. I also had to grind down some welds on the sub cage so it would fit flush. But I just bought a 12 bar off craigslist and put it on my ninja zx10 I had no idea what it was actually for lol

Hey bro try getting a one piece round bar from Impaktech. You will be replacing your sub after the first scratch. I have a 07 750 and I blew my sub after bolting on my powerz bar. Try to find you something if not send me a PM and i will show you one I made that works like a charm

Re: gsxr 600 12oclock bar

a powers 12 bar for the 06-07 gix is GARBAGE..it bolts on to the flimsy weak rear seat frame(pillion?) and will shatter FIRST time you clack.....be smart and sell it and order a roundbar WITH reinforcement from www.myspace.com/impaktech they bolt onto the thickest part of pillion and brace extends down to main subframei ran one on my gix for over a year with NO problems...

Re: gsxr 600 12oclock bar

Mine doesent clamp I have to drill the subframe and bolt it. I'm not dum this is not the first bike I've set up just the bar doesent go far enough down the subframe for the holes that came drilled in it to cover the subframe so I can't bolt it on to nothing. I just sold it. Getting a round bar from impaktech

Re: gsxr 600 12oclock bar

Yikes!!!! This thread is full of bad information and pushing products..... If you setup the GSXR subframe properly it's rock solid. Just bolting a 12 bar onto ANY part of the 06/07-600/750 subframe is a bad idea. Take the extra time to re-enforce and you'll have zero trouble... That is unless you full throttle the bike back on the to subrame. Then you'll have a whole set of other issues....

I won't say what round bar I run to avoid pushing any other products but I will say it bolts to the "weakest" part of the subframe and I have had zero problems because I set it up properly to begin with.........
