Re: 06 gsxr 600!! Hwy

for streets on any bike i go +7 and is still VERY usable in the lots. my r6 is only +4 and still does everything i need it to street and lots. as for it running hot make sure you dont have any air in your cooling system.

Re: 06 gsxr 600!! Hwy

that would be too slow over here (in holland), except if you were running really high RPMS.. which sucks, you have to go very fast to keep up with traffic!

100kph - 128kph is what speed I wheelie at in 3rd gear depending on traffics speed
If I'm in 4th the bike doesn't have enough torque to easily keep it up for combo's

Re: 06 gsxr 600!! Hwy

stock is like 16t front and 45-46 on the rear, prolly like a 50t on the back would be go enough, thats what i had on mine with stock 16 on front and had good torque for fast/interstate wheelies. only takes maybe 10% or less off the top end too

Re: 06 gsxr 600!! Hwy

I might just go 52t or leave the 55 on the rear and go down up front 1

I'm not so sure about that. Stock on my 07 600 is 47t rear and I'm pretty sure that is the same as the 06 model.

Re: 06 gsxr 600!! Hwy

Correct. Stock is 16-43. I was running 15-47 and it rocked. Moved to 15-56 and that is TOO much gearing. Need to drop to about 50.

Re: 06 gsxr 600!! Hwy

Dang I gotta 14 front 62 rear and a 51t set aside for my 02 but no long highway rides tho. Only quick sprints dodging the po po. I love it but it does get hot quick. Specially in the texas sun. I donno man, u might have the right idea, jus drop a front tooth and start makin 4th gear whoolies. Save on choppin ur chain down too in case u ever decide to go back.
Might check ur fan too.
