just sold my 636 and i want to buy a supermoto bike to ride around daily and stunt. obviously the yamaha is fuel injected and the suzuki is carbed but does it really make a difference on these bikes? which is better for circles and stuff and what is top speed of both and whatnot! help me out fellas i need input

 

im sure they both circle fine. just test ride them and see which one you like. im going with a 400sm as soon as tax time comes.

haha any specific reasons? whats it top out at Johnny bmore? like 90 ish? i have just always heard the drzs are bulletproof and havnt heard much from the yamaha.

 

with a 45 th back sprocket I still hit 90 ... Bike is super flickable just feels realy light under you .. it is built way better in my opinion .. wave rotors nice forks .. great set up all toghther ..
The wr's engine should be ******* rock solid!!! but only time will tell .. says first vlve check & 25k WOW!!!!!

 

well im still undecided. wish they both had a lil more power but i guess they are both still a blast to ride. im leaning towards the yamaha just because its new and not dated.and fuel injection is a big plus. but the drx has proven reliability lol. hmmm

 

Get the wr. The drz is out dated.

 

I own a DRZ And it is an awsome bike to ride and stunt as far as it needing more power theres mods you can to that are cheap and some free just need some hand tools. the highest ive gotten mine to go so far was 98 and im sure it could go faster but at that speed it was screamin and id rather not blow the engine hehe

 

im really leaning towards the wr. i think the bikes are about the same as far as power and speed goes. but for stoppies the wr has wave rotors. hells ya. hopefully the wr isnt high strung and has no low end power. thats my only concern. the dealership better let me test ride it lol

 

Bikes got low end power .. but the drz is going to have a better mid range for sure ..
thankfully the wr has a 6th gear .. so if you go up a bit in a sprocket for low end tourqe you still got good highway cruising speads .

 

as long as no one has issues with either of the bikes during stalls and coasters and circles then i will just sit on both and decide what one i want lol. but if the carb on the drz is a problem... then i cant get the drz lol. from the videos i have seen i dont think its a problem

heres how i set up my wr250x

• handbrake - full throttle dual caliper, SS line, and 08 R6/R1 master cylinder
• mrs pro raptor EZ pull
• +10 rear sprocket (still can break 75 on the high way) 1st great for the lot, 2nd good for around town street whoolies
• 12oclock labs speedo healer
• idle adjuster mod - 600rr idle cable
• custom made foot bar and cut tail
• still want to get..... (F&R axle & frame sliders, msr hand gaurds, and maybe -1 front sprocket)

hell ya! thanks a ton i was trying to find out what mods i would need. i was told i could just put althread through the front motor mount as sliders and thru the axles as sliders lol. sounds like a good idea to me.
