03 636 turns over but wont start
I rode my 636 around yesterday and when i went to leave and it wouldnnt start..it ran fine all day so idk whats going on. The fi light flashs when its turning over but never fires up. Its SF. The fuel pump primes when i turn the key on like it suposed to also
Is there a way to bypass the tilt sensor, or what else could it be?

could be lots of things... cps.... fuel problem, etc.

you leave the circuit board but if the tip over sensor is bad this wont work ....
you will need a working one to see if thats the problem because you cant bypass an 03 636 tip over by splicing the wires together ....

ahh sob..im 99% sure thats my problem..Looks like ill be tryin to find one tomorrow. Also do the coils packs just come off the top or what. i was yankin on them tryin to check the plugs and they wouldnt come off

So I got a tilt sensor off my friends 636 and it still doesn't start. I hotwired the fuel pump and still nothin. The power commander won't come on either untill I hotwire the fuel pump

did you check all the fuses ?
im gonna assume you made sure the tip over switch you borrowed is good, make sure it's not the kickstand switch or the kill switch ..
throw the power commander in the trash or at least get rid of it till you get the bike running just to eliminate it as the problem ...lol

Yup checked all fuses and have put the kick stand up and everything. It turns over fine just won't fire. It doesn't make since because it rode perfect earlier that day and when I went to restart it just never started. The fi light flashes over and over really fast while I'm pushin the start button?

Sounds like you need to wire the kickstand switch together... just putting the kickstand up wont fix it if the contacts are bad... IO had this happen to an R1 way back in the day... we tried everything and the kickstand switch was the last to check.. and it makes sence because the last thing I did after i shut the bike off was put the kickstand down....lol
