So i am painting my upper and i had to cut/trim let me know what you think i should do stick with the old or try the new one

What do you mean i have to cut alot off cause i have my tripple flipped and my clip-ons turned out...old or new...

 

Uhm cutting uppers is sooo last year.

Minty is not a problem the upper length and width is....

 

idk man i never flipped my tripple on my 636's i never found the need. i just hate the look of a hacked up upper, may as well run streetfighter. but idk they both look kind crappy but i guess if i had to choose id prob choose the first one...

 

I mean the black one needs to be cleaned up and it wont be "hacked" up but the short one looks better

 

use the one on the counter

 

you can put a million dollar paint job on it but its still gonna look hacked cuz well ...it is.

 

What did you cut the 2nd one with, a blow torch?

 

Im gonna use the one on the counter i just want to know if i should leave it cut how it is just clean it up or cut it short like the current cracked one...

 

Naw a drimal and a cutting wheel...the plastic just gets hot and melts up like that...

 

btw what did you tint the headlights with?

 

VHT tint spray...get it at oreily's

 

I know Ive only cut about 40 of them....LOL Just poking fun at your melted edge....

You should try using a fine tooth hand saw, and finish up with sand paper...

 

what do you vote short cut or long cut....

 

i like short cut but i run sf

 

I always prefer to cut off as least as possible, basically just as much as you need to get the clearance you need for you bar/lever setup...

I think the first cut is too short, and the 2nd is a little too rounded at the top...IMO I would probably go with the 2nd cut and just make it a little less pointy at the top...
