Righteous Stunt Clutch, Ultimate model being tested..
That's right! The ultimate model(w/ the bearing instead of the bushing) is being tested this week....AND.....the full length lever should be available at the end of next week!!

Projected availability is 2 weeks on both variations.

Can the old one be upgraded to the ball bearing, or will a seperate model need to be purchased? If it can be upgraded.. shoot me a price on upgrading mine... Not that I need it to be any more "Butter" but since the option is available...

Yes! I actually researched and found a bearing that fits in the original bore of the RSC lever, and works with the original RSC bolt ,also. I will be giving EVERYONE that bought a RSC prior to September 1st the option of buying the bearing for $5 shipped!!

Read post above, Johnny!!

PS I assume that if it fits the original bore and bolt, its a needle (roller) bearing not a ball bearing like your were planning on before?

Final testing this weekend, so it should be available next week sometime. And YES, you are correct.....it is a needle bearing very similiar to the MSRs. All the ball bearings I researched had too big of an outside diameter compared to the width of the bearing. In order to make a ball bearing work for the setup, you'ld have to run TWO ball bearings in the lever in order to get the correct width. It would have made the RSC Ultimate about $25 more than the basic RSC, as compared to $10 more with the needle bearing. I'll let you know, Johnny!

I havent got mine in the mail yet, so that was something I was wondering about...Cause if you werent going figure out a bearing for it, I was going to do it on my own...And thats one issue I thought of....

Are you making the bolts with a shoulder on them like the MSR? Or are you using regular bolts? Just wondering because withut a smooth shoulder for the bearing to roll on, the threads of a regular pivot bolt might slowly eat away at the rollers in the bearing...

Cool PM me whenyou want my ca$h for the upgrade
Re: Righteous Stunt Clutch, Ultimate model being tested..
They are actually just standard stainless steel bolts that have about 1/2 inch of smooth "shoulder" before the threads start. The shoulder extends completely through the lever cavity, leaving a nice smooth surface for both the bearing or the bushing to rotate on. Got it covered, Johnny!

I was just wondering because of your 1st pics, that had a regular black oxide pivot bolt...

Black oxide bolts were my machinists idea, originally. I don't know what he was thinking...
