Re: 1/4 mile times

What would that accomplish? Larger sprockets in the rear create more low end torque and REDUCE top end so depending on how high it was geared, it would be punishing to the bike.

06 R6, -1 +8. had adjustable links so i would slam it whenever we went to the strip. 10.6 was the best. high 10's though all day. im NOT concerned about takin my +7 954. I dont wanna end up on my back when i launch that bike!

my f4i might top out at like 120mph but it will get there in like 2 seconds... it would spank a normal 600 with stock gearing in the 1/4

would it? Or would you be shifting so much it might actually slow you down?

0-60mph time shouldn't be any different on a geared vs no geared bike since you should be launching at near redline and riding the clutch off the line

any modern 600 should be capable of running in the 10's with the right rider

Even if your a 'decent' rider, mid 11's are fairly easy to get, just launch it hard!

most squids on bikes can't get off the line quick, they don't know how to launch the bike slipping the clutch at oh say 12k rpm.. But I don't blame them, I'd hate to not know brake control and have a bike shoot up on a wheelie on accident
most squids give bikes a bad rep, and give slow cars a good rep lol. I know plenty people with 12 second cars that go out and RAPE bikes, and then say "oh I can beat bike

Re: 1/4 mile times

yeah you can run geared bikes on the track I got friends that do it one of them rocks a slightly geared f4i and blows **** on 1000s and 600s set up slightly for drag depending on the rider a 1/2 mile is not that long having geared bikes makes your bike quick off the line if you know how to ride you can smoke mustangs with slicks and full catback exuast slightly tuned and corvetes if you can ride lol

honestly i think the intake sticking out there without the ram air tubes caused a low psi area at a higher mphs. causing the loss in mph , i should of been in the low 120s.

Take about a second off up here at altitude. Our track sits right at 6000ft, corrected I believe it's 6200ft.

Re: 1/4 mile times

i have seen a few stunters run their bikes at the track.. if they kept it down, the 60 fts were pretty good... but were done at the 1/8th for the most part.
