altered oil pick ups: are they necessary?
altered oil pick ups: are they necessary?
my gixxer has an extended oil pick up, i just sold it to a friend and im building my 05 r6 (for the lot). do i need an extended oil pick up? will i burn up if i dont? the r6 was previously my street bike and on the highway it had no problem standing up for a few miles at mid rpm range but bp is higher at low speeds. is it necessary?
Re: altered oil pick ups: are they necessary?
ive got my 03 r6 engine torn down on the bench right now.... the pickup is right in the middle of the oil pan which i think is fine with a half quart over fill... if anyone has r6 oil issues please let me know
the pickup is plastic anyways so moding it would be difficult....
BTW do the clean air mod (pair valve mod) to your bike! i was told r6's didnt need it but my broken connecting rod would say otherwise

I would not worry bout the pick up i have an 05 r6 and i run half quart over and ride wheelies for miles on end and never had the problem but whats up on the clean air mod whats it do and how does it work?
