tire psi
Re: tire psi

Re: tire psi
are you on the rear brake yet ? ,if not 15 psi is good to learn ur straight line ****, if you are good with ur rear brake , run 20 and when you get ready to learn 0s pump that bitch up to 25 or 30,,,,,,,, but its all preferance, play around with it and see what works good for you. but if ur just learning i think 15 is a safe learning pressure. if have a f4i run 25 or 30 at all times because they have mad engine brake..

yea im good a brake been working on ss circles they are getting tighter but i feel like its missing the air just trying to get a comfortable psi for all around trickks circles, combos, jumping around to different tricks im just trying to keep good energy and always move all over the bike
Re: tire psi
Not everyone is a stunt prodigy! 15 psi for straightline learning idle is alot easier. when I bumped from 15 up to 22 it felt mad twitchy and different. Ben is right, more psi is better. Just harder to control.
more psi = easier turning/circles
less psi= more stable for straightline/ learning.
Most of the really good riders i know are riding on >30psi. I ride on 22.

Re: tire psi
Kendall... all my life I've run 32 psi and then started stunting and lowered it to 15 like you, and yeah you gotta really throw the bike into a circle if your running 15.. I'd bump it up to 32, and just rock it. I'm relearning everything on the new F4i, except I'm always keeping it at 32 and never lowering it cause once I do -- I'll like it too much and it's not a good habit to have.
Re: tire psi
I run 31psi on my scooter and I love it! since I start practicing on my 636 i started with 21psi, and it's OK at start it was a bit shaky I was catching bike all over the spot, now it's perfect, I'll try with 26-30 for circles
Re: tire psi
absolutly none! If the front is lower than 30 it will follow the road, a pain in the *** to turn or conrol. Tires are designed to have air in them and when you take to much air out of the front they slide....35 psi is what im runnin.
Re: tire psi
Thats not true. when you take pressure out of a tire you enlarge the contact patch allowing for more grip to pick up a stoppie. but you cause more friction which friction eats distance/speed.
Re: tire psi
go to walmart buy a air compressor that plugs up to your cigarette lighter then ride stop put some in ride some more then stop and put more in etc. before you know it the air pressure will be up and things wont be that bad. dont be stubborn air pressure is key to doing alot of tricks espescially circles. i was that stubborn guy....
Re: tire psi
the bigger the contact pad is for ur front the more u have to catch a pebble and slide......go put 10 or 15 psi in ur front tire and tell me how it works out....
