Re: Any one here have kids?

I don't have any kids. If I were you i'd ask her what are you gonna do!? LOL then go from there.

Maybe she's not ready either and she's keeping it for you. You guys should do what is right for the both of you (wether you keep it or get rid of it should be a decision for the two of you to decide). But if you bring the kid into the world make sure you support it the best way you can.
Good luck man, and congrats... i guess...

Re: Any one here have kids?

First off, Congrats man!

My wife just had our first baby 6 weeks ago. I cant describe the feelings you go through watching something you made being born. Its an amazing and some what scary time. Just save up a little money and get your rest now. That time in the hospital it is very hard to even get an hour or two for those 2 days.

Even though it seems like a ton of work and money having a baby, its really not that bad. They change a lot in he beginning, so take tons of pics.

Re: Any one here have kids?

Already got him a Yamaha PW just like I got started on years and years ago

My uncle bought it for his son and he didnt like it, so he gave it to me. Has had less than 1 tank of gas through it, so hopefully I can keep from trashing it before he is old enough to ride it

Re: Any one here have kids?

o yea, and just to let you know, the whole giving birth process is like something out of an alien movie. It still trips me out thinking about when he started to come out. His head was the only thing out and he was trying to look around. Creepy as hell

Re: Any one here have kids?

4 kids here! and when i was your age i was scared as well but youll be amaised how it will change the way you feel about life and kids in general.
some might think that catching idle for the first time is the best thing that has happened in there life but having kids is somthing that youll never regret and is so far above anything else.(except salvation) but thats another subject.
fear not because what is about to happen to you is one of the most important special gifts that life can give, period.

Re: Any one here have kids?

Thanx guys. Its a crazy thought, being a parent. but on the bright side by the time he gets his first bike i wont be an old fart lol. and yea its time to man up. I feel like a girl saying this but are there any books you guys with kids would recomend? Why cant they be born with a service manual.

We did decide to keep the baby. According to the doc shes 6 weeks into it. All i can think of is save save save.

Is there anything i should be worried about? like with my woman? iMy friends are saying expect bad mood swings from her.

haha ill probly end up posting stuff all nine months. stunters guide to parent hood!

Re: Any one here have kids?

my lil girls 9 months, man it was nuts cus im not with her mom, just somthing that happened at a bad time n u cant blame baby for our mistakes so she was definately gettin born. i was just trying to get back into riding and get the noggin back together from a bad accident so it culdnt have come at a worst time. be grateful ur girls coo with ur ridin n u guys are still together, GET SHAT IN WRITING! i mean that u can keep ur bike! um, babies arent as expensive as people think once u get them home. i hope u got decent insurance, if not contact the state, shes technically a single mom so she qualifies for wic probably. diapers u get 100 pampers swaddlers for $20 at target, expect that to last 2 weeks maybe, formula is the most expensive part, baby needs to be healthy though so INSIST the best u can on brest feeding. dont buy too many clothes cus baby grows out of em every few weeks, onesies are great, hit walmart n grab the 20 pack of cotton towls for $10 i think n they make great burping cloths n easy to hand wash n dr so baby dont gotta wear a vpit up smelly bib for too long. be careful with babies neck, easy with direct sunlight, start reading to baby now while shes in ur gf's tummy, baby WILL start developing voice recognition n be comfortable around u a bit better, lots of reading after birth, alphabet, simple books, over n over, the repetition helps word familiarity.
man i can go on n on bro, im on my first, my full time nephews almost 4 and i helped my friends as well. i dont know you but im guessing ur gonna have a boy.
*lastly*
be a daddy first, n biker 2nd, depending on ur skill level it may sound hard now, ride a few times a week but as much time as u ride, 10 x's as much needs to be spent with baby, it'll get easier n u'll feel better knowing that ur a terrible squid, but an outstanding father...

-cheers-

Re: Any one here have kids?

It’s all on what you make of it. You can have the baby and love it and be a part of its life, be a daddy or be one of those who run. I’m 31 and have 3 kids, my oldest is almost 12. I wanted to run a million times but I would do anything for my kids and not change the past for the world. Yeah I had a kid right after I turned 19 so I know the scary part. But this little one will change you and could make you a better person than you ever thought you could be. You don’t need to sell your bike and **** because of it, it’s not the end of the world and if your smart about how you do things the expense part isn’t so bad. Good luck man

Re: Any one here have kids?

i'm 23 and my baby is gonna be Two Aug 31 and its great. You just gotta talk to her and make sure your ready if not some people are always willing to adopt. But you will be alright man, as long as you just always do the right thing when it comes to the family, and you'll know exactly what that is. But congratulations man, you'll be alright...
