Who's making these now. If anybody is, how is fitment? I'm tired of breaking stockers by just doing SS's Welding in reinforcments just heats the aluminum up and actually makes it weaker from what i've seen

are you tigging it or wire feed? wire feed is useless on the aluminum they use.

 

if you got a round bar run 1" 1/8thick straps from your round bar bolts to your rearset tabs prob solved doesnt look very pretty but works and wont break

 

tru dat, tig will hold up a lil better but the cast aluminum they use to make these subframes is junk to begin with

 

I talked to cutler last week and he swears by his subframes www.c4-revolutions.com , and he is making 05-06 636 rearsets for $125.00 thats so much cheaper then the competition and on top of that he said edub runs the 03-04 rearsets and has pancaked multiple times and the only thing that happend to the rearsets was that they had bent slightly rather then breaking a frame tab.

Call cutler, hes really has the higher quality parts out right now. Maybe you two could work something out..
My buddy zac that i ride with donkey flips his 06 636 with this subframe and does constant gorilla scrapes and it hasnt bent ,broke, nothing yet.

 

+2 and for his subframe you dont have to hock up your undertray

got some footbrake circles the other day, tried a no hander and the bike stalled and i did not get back to the bars.

 

Id rather hack up my undertray and have some cross supports on the very end of that aftermarket sub. Not a very good design imo.

 

anyone here who owns an 05-06 636 what is the ******* spark plug gap? I cant find it anywhere
