Ignition relocation
Okay i have an 05 636 well i recently put some vortex clip-ons on and i flipped the tripple tree so i would not have to put them on the bottom and i could put them on top without lowering my forks...well in order to do so i had to pop my ignition off and cut the threaded mounts off of the tripple so really there is no going back
. But anyone got any ideas on where to relocate it, or has anyone done this already. I dont want to **** my ignition up cause when i am through with the bike im gonna but it back to stock and sell it locally.
Toss me some ideas.

you could always get some small pieces of steel and fab up a new mounting bracket. If you can get ahold of some trashed parts (harness and key switch) you could take the plugs off, leaving wire, and crimp some male/female connectors on there and run some 3-4 wire extensions where ever you want on the bike. I always vote against cutting connectors off your stock harness, cannibalizing another junk one to make an adapter is a smarter way of doing it if you have any intentions of putting it back to stock later on.

Re: Ignition relocation
I was gonna wire it to a switch but my year has that "THEFT" proof gray wire and that is just not gonna do it so i just took it off and mounted it on my A-town cage i think that will work great..
DRASTIC DAN- could i get a pic of the way you mounted yours that would be much appreciated
