riding and relationships
Re: riding and relationships
is this a hobby for you, or is it your life? unless your gf is a 'real rider' not just a girl who went out and bought a bike for attention, then i would say there will come a time in the relationship she gets fed up with it.
this is coming from 'that gf who doesn't ride', that lives with her bf and our kids.....it's annoying as hell when i'm at school planning stuff to do that evening and i come home and he says he's going riding....especially when stuff around the house needs to be done. we came up with a schedule where he has a few nights off during the week to do whatever he wants, in other words i'm not expecting him home until late at night. the schedule hasn't went into full effect because the kids just left for the summer but when they get back it should work out.
when the kids aren't around i don't mind him going riding.....for a little bit (like an hour or two). if he's gone all night it's annoying.

, I'm just saying I'm glad my girl doesnt treat me like Im her kid. Us guys need projects, there are men out there that Fish, Golf, Race, Restore, Play Poker, in a Band, etc. OUR's is STUNT and I love my new sport. Thanks Honey I love YOU for supporting me in everything I do.
Re: riding and relationships
Just got into a relationship with a girl who used to ride, and now that she sees how much i enjoy riding, shes thinkin of gettin a bike again. I think the core of it all is to show where your dedication is. If its to sportbikes and stunting, then u gotta show a lil space in your life for the relationship too so it doesnt look like shes takin a passenger seat ride in ur wheelie lifestyle. I love riding, goin out with the bike club, and stuntin whenever possible, but i also understand that i need to go out on dates and have some "me and her" time so i can keep two good things goin at the same time: My lifestyle and my relationship
Re: riding and relationships
my girlfriend has never really had issues with stuntriding, infact she liked watching me. ever since ive slowed down the pace with stuntriding and began focusing on MMA its a problem with her whenever i go to practice. we dont even live with eachother, but i happen to go to the gym 3-4 days out of the week for about 3-4 hours each day and.
it is frusterating, but i dont blame her. i would probably act no different if she was gone alot. good thread!

Re: riding and relationships
LOL ouch! nope! All jokes aside I wonder how it would work out to date a guy who doesn't ride considering I spent every sunny spring, summer and fall day riding. I even sneak out @ lunch for quickies...and in the winter snowboarding is a MUST!...maybe i'm just too demanding..
PS I liked the other avatar better! that girl was HAWT!

Re: riding and relationships
i have alot to say on this topic. it is tough. i only ride weekends and work weekdays so if the girl wants to hang out ill either plan for night. invite her out to the lot. or i take a day off to do something else... alot of times i only ride once a week.
but i change girls alot. so like..if i dont have a gf one weekend. i can ride. lmfao
