Heres my thoughts.
03/04 - Strong subframe, **** forks, ugly wheels/swingarm. Gear ratio seems to be much shorter. bike seems cramped for bigger riders.
05/06 - Weak Subframe(not horrible though), good wheels/brakes, Tank is a lil soft on the bracing and difficult to dent? Pulls like a beast. Bigger area to stand, feels more spacious. Longer/diff gear ratio. Undertail exhaust doubles as a 12 bar.
07/08 - Weak sub, forks are good but known for blowing seals, now low/midrange torque, needs big sprockets and still has a ton of engine brake. motor mounts are soft as hell, well balanced size, solid tank great tail. comes with a good front master cyl. good brakes/swingarm. did i mention bogging and **** low end torque?
09 - ??? I can't wait to find a wrecked one from what i've heard..

so, i ride a 03-04 and i love the bike, but i kinda want something newer again.
i really like the newer models like 07-08 and 09
compared to a 05-06 i think id stay with my 03-04 but IDK
so im asking you people, i havent heard or found any comparisons of the new models vrs the old, anyone have a 08 or 09 model and hows it roll???

I have an 2009 zx6r and I like it, the subframe is paper thin, def needs some reinforcing, and it pulls nice on idle, so far I have no complaints at all.

Ya i was gonna mention that. most people don't want to throw down another $1000 in performance parts to get the bike to ride right tho.

i have an 07 for my first lot bike. i think im doin pretty good on it . so if it sucks as bad as im hearing from alot of you more talented riders. when i get on a better bike i should kick *** right ?

I have an 03 and a 06. I find the 06 generally smoother all round and the 03 is def a bit more raw. To be honest i think i still prefer the 03.
I have rode a 07 and found it lacked low end compared to the 03 and 06.

I like any ZX6E, preferably a 1994 with either a Kerker or SuperTrap exhaust. They just look mean as hell and when I sit on them I can feel myself doing some sick sit down wheelies.

Haven't had an 03 04 yet but I stepped off my 02 F4i to an 06 636 and I am more than pleased. What a great machine! No more bogs, straight up snorts and gets the job done
