im trying to cut a hole in seat. i cut the plastic under the seat into a rectangle, but im thinking the seat cover wont stretch enough so i can staple it back to the plastic underneath. or does that stuff stretch more then im thinking? any tips make me a verry happy man

 

hahaha cut a foot in seat. I think you mean hole in the seat for foot. Just cut it rock it for a little while then have someone recover it. Even if you do staple the stock seat covering it wont last long.

 

Make a cover yourself-Cut a piece of vinyl for the seat and cut a square hole out of the middle of it. Cut 4 pieces of vinyl, shaped like pentagons, to use on the inside of the hole. Buy a needle and string and stitch it all together and your done.

 

Or you could buy a piece of vinyl, lay it over the top of the seat, push the vinyl through the hole so you have a good amount through it and enough to staple it underneath and you got a nice smooth looking seat... That's how I did mine... hope that makes sense..

 

before you cut the hole, you should sketch the rectangle onto the vinyl, then draw an X in the box diagonal from corner to corner, slice the X with a razor knife but dont cut the outline, after you have cut the plastic frame of the seat and cored out the foam you can take the vinyl flaps that you cut and stretch each one down inside the hole and staple it underneath. use a pneumatic or electric stapler.

Cost me 10 dollars to do mine clean. Pulling and stretching cut vinyl is fukin ghetto.

 

Did mine by hand and triple stitched the seam where my foot goes so it stays put.

 

Looks pretty good. Where'd you get the vinyl and do they have white, and can you help me.

 

Joanne Fabric. I got a pimp sewing machine coming in the mail next week so it wont be as time consuming by hand. When that gets here I'll probably change up with the Snakeskin vinyl they had next to the black stuff.
