I got an 03 gsxr, and it cutts off when I put it on 12o'clock. I thought it was the tipover sensor, but we checked it out and it dosn't even work if you roll it over or what not, like it is disconnected somewhere. When I 12, it will cut off in about 2 seconds, unless I give it some gas then it will run for a few more seconds. If you try to start it at 12, it will sputter a little.... when i drop it back down, she fires right up.Does anyone know what is going on? HELP

Well if u did ur clean air mod it shouldent be breathing oil in the air box if u dident check that and hope ur not sucking air in ur oil pickup (when ur on 12 is ur oil lite on?). Or that's all straight it could be ur tps ajustment , and make sure ur tip over sensor is bypassed.

 

Are you postive you know which one the tip over sensor is?? Not to be a dick just making sure you are looking at the right thing..

 

Im def. looking at the tip over sensor, I got a manual and a mechanic to make sure. We started the bike while it was on 2 wheels and, then took the sensor in our hands and turned it all around every which way and it didn't cut off or even try to cut off. Thats why I said it was bypassed. I bought it from a guy and even he dosn't know why it does it. I dunno

 

You're running the wrong H2O/gasoline mixture, where ever you last filled up, stop buying gas there! To compensate, you need to add 16oz of water to every gallon of gas in the tank. RO water would be the best.

 

+1 ... or do u got enuff oil ? ... sum1 jus posted same problem and it was cause he didn't have enough gas

 

I found the problem.....it needed alot more gas than what i had in it. I like to ride with as little gas needed. I guess I got to change up now.
