So i tried to used thicker gasket paper and that didnt work then i tried like black jack roof sealer and that didnt work it doent dry its stays gooey. So what do you think will seal it... i mean ive tried to bondo an edge and that didnt work

what kind of cap do you have ?

did you take out the set screw in the vent hole ?

if the base doent vent then it will keep blowing out the gasket ..

 

see the little vent on the right ?

yea what do i do take the cap off then take the screw out?

 

I mean but there is a large gap in the cap and tank

 

take out the set screw and put new gasket paper to seal the base , with the base venting it shouldnt blow out the gasket
