a buddy can get a screamin deal on a entire 05 600rr front end and wants to swap it out to his f4i. any mods needed? is it possible? bearings and races the same or need to be changed? any help would be great.

yes it will fit as long as you have the rr upper n lower tripples, only mod you will have to do is trim the bump stop tabs on the lower tripple down so you can turn better.........you can use either f4i bearings and bearing races or the rr bearings and bearing races, just dont mix em up i believe they are different

dont know my f4i always had a 600rr frontend since i owned it

 

it will not lower the front of the bike, other then f4i's all other hondas run clip-ons on bottom so you will have to do that cuz if you run em on top of the tripple you will be lowering the bike and the front fender will hit the radiator. the other alturnative is running a hohey upper tripple when you do the swap, thats what id did and i love it
