07-08 wheel and fender will bolt right up to 05-06. they are the same except the triples offset between the forks and stem is a mm or 2 different, so you have to keep the triples as a set.

That is not true my friend, the 07/08 axle is a smaller diameter then the 05/06 and the rotors dont fit either...

03/04 and 05/06 wheels and rotors are the same, but 07/08 are different! and wont fit the older forks

I did an 07/08 forks and triples swap on an 05, and we had to buy an 07/08 wheel and rotors because the 05/06 would not fit...I dont remember if the fender would fit, because we got an 07/08 fender too....

Yes the only difference is the color of the carriers in the middle of the rotors. The wheels and rotors from 03-06 are all the same, just different colors....

No worries, we found out that hard way that they dont fit... Made a simple swap a big waiting game, as we could not find a decent priced 07/08 wheel and rotors for a few weeks....

Also my friend does not like the way the 07/08 front end swap altered the handling, as the offset in the triples is different on the 07/08 front end...He liked the fact that the smaller offset gave him more room to turn out his bars more straight, but with less offset comes quicker turn in and less stability...

That's weird, I love the way it made mine handle. I just got back from a track day and had no instability issues but I like a busy bike, I'm comfortable on it even when it squirms. My forks are sticking up about 1/4" past the top triple, and my suspension was setup by one of the best guys in the NE... so that might make a difference. And im not running a damper yet.
