About the trough-going bar on the new Tygershark-cages

Yoooo!

I mounted of my cages on the 05 636 cause I was going to put all the fairings back to the bike again.

But after this I cant fit the trough-going bar to both sides of the cages. Probably cause I´ve succeded to bend the whole cage or something.
To bad I started out with the dremel to fit the bar haha. Now everything is pretty fucked

My question is, do you think its ok to run without the bar or should I try to bend the cage back so I can fit everything? I saw Alex Flores was running without this bar on XDL and I know the old Tygershark-cages doesnt have this bar.

Maybe anyone else has had this problem?

The support bar is not needed but helps. The tygershark cage is made to flex when crashed. The 636 cage is a longer cage however so when crashed it flexs to much at times and could possibly hit your engine covers. That why they decided to add a support bar on the 636 cages to stop the chance of anything happening.

So it's up to you on whether to run it or not.

I would defintiely run it if you plan on wrecking...

I ran a FI 'copy' without the underbar, sure it was fine for a good year or so... then one good drop BAM stripped motor mounts and broken stator cover

It can't hurt to run a bar.. Might hurt your plastics, but better off cutting plastics to **** then destroying other ****

You can run without it but I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't run one for over a month and had the same problem. I bent it a little and it fit perfect again.

Im confused

Did you tighten the main bolts then try to fit the cross-bar on after? If thats it, put the whole cage together before you tighten anything all the way.
