so i was at the lot yesterday near the end of the ride i did a couple high chairs and i noticed when i came down 1.my red light was flashing weird. 2.my gas lightwas flashing fast. 3. my speedo needle did the reset thing. my tank is dented and it seemed to only do this in a highchair??? any ideas ??? thanks

no im gonna fo it tommorw but it shouldntbethatbecause it only does thisin highchairs witch obviously arent as high(12oclocked)as other whoolies...i meanitslike it shutsoff cuz it resets thespeedo,red light comeson as if its off asforthe gas light it freaksout at the sametime??? anymore help anyone i just replaced themotor and dont wanttohave todo it again...they dontmake oil pick ups for these bikesdothey?

 

it could be somthing with the fuel pump when u land hard ur weight on the tank could shift ur fuel pump n cause the sensor to think its suppose to shut down safty issue but not sure but i also have a 06 gsxr 600 no title but not stolen for 2gs only if u pick up n def fix ur flipover switch and good luck wit ur bike hope u get it right

 

did you have a full tank of gas or just a partial.... when your coming down hard... the gas may be sloshing away from the pump causing it to be fuel starved.... try it with a full tank and see if that fixes it (if you've been using a partial tank.

 

if your a big guy (no offense) an you dented your tank in too far an **** up your pump like he said itll shut off to save the fuel pump from stresstin. your prolly comin down too hard an hittin the pick up tube on the bottom of the tank. do a spreader an before u come down put your feet on the cage take some weight off so u dont smash down see if it does it then. if it doesnt do it again an leave all your weight on it. if it turns off means ur pump... lol all i could think of?

 

i am big and it was a partial tank of gas im hoping that was it sucks now my tank only holds like 7-8 litres of fuel i hope its just the coming down thing ill look into it but anyone elesthink ofany thing?? thanks

It sounds like the gauge harness is loose. That would cause a reset when it gets smashed from a highchair.

im not a big pink fan but your bike looks prettyyou should post a bunch of detail pics in stunt bike pictures...and ya,a loose battery cable will cause what you described...it was prob. just a coincidence it was when you highchairedand NO,there is not oil pickups for the 06-07 gixxers...they dont need em
