F4I wont run

So clutch went out on my F4I so I replaced that last night along with putting MSR raptor on.

Well today I threw oil in it, changed oil filter and went to crank it up but it wont start

Oh yes, turns on primes and turnsover but just wont start running

I crossed the two wires that lead into the clutch perch.

Also I posted this in the help/how to but I figured I'd get more responses here also.

Re: F4I wont run

Actually yah your right lol

But I don't see why changing the clutch would make it so the bike won't run...

Re: F4I wont run

I put the raptor lever on my f4i and just left the clutch wires alone. you will only be able to start it in neutral but it should start. crossing the wires could be your problem try leaving them apart. good luck

Re: F4I wont run

It will start without the clutch wires connected if its in neutral. Check to see if you have spark, If not see it the plugs are wet. If you arent getting fuel or fire it could be the crank or cam sensor is unplugged or brokenor could be the ecm. That is the only thing that I know of that will kill both fuel and spark. If there is a problem with a safety sensor like kickstand or clutch the starter will not crank. You can check the kill switch circuit or fuel cut relay but I think that that disables the fuel pump, not positive though. If you have either fuel or spark it would probably be a problem on the output side of either system. Sounds like you just have something unplugged though.

Re: F4I wont run

Did you make sure there's plenty of starter fluid in it. Top it off and it'll start right up!!!

I think its the flux compasitor... get ahold of jonnie. he can help.. also make shore the battery is 90 persent lean. what u want to do is pull the tank off look under the injectors ya it suck but pull them two there is a over ride switch under all that push that button and hold it for 10 sec then the bike will start up and go in factory mode.... hope this helps....

Re: F4I wont run

when you turn your key on with the kickstand down the ecu should flash a code. Long flashes are 10 short flashes are one. You can also pop your seat off and bridge the 2 wire connector coming off of your comp that is unused. That "should" give you a code, then youll know where to start.

Re: F4I wont run

i have a factory shop manual, if you get an ECU code, I'll look it up. did you have any issues taking the clutch cover off? alot of people fight with them, I bet you pulled a wire out of the connector or out of the pulse gen itself. I think you can test the plug for it with a multi meter and if you get no resistance you know its got a bad wire or its crispy.
