thats the thing dude, we wanna do that **** in canada, and like scott said, its hard when you land a big show with good money and you think your breaks here then you get a call and say nah we got another group they'll do it for a 100 bux or nothing......thats why promoters don't wanna pay and so on

 

the scene in Canada really sucks as most venues are naive about the scene...
knowing the CC guys pretty well i cant say anything about them as they haven't undercut us...YET
but that being said trying to fight for shows when you live in the same town as them really sucks...especially when we're trying to progress the sport trick wise unlike what their shows have been as of late or ever....

please dont let CC ruin your thoughts on Canadian stunters...some of us are still decent people with some real talent lol

 

Ryan, i didnt mean to tell em to stop bitchin cause i agree. unfortunatly its pretty low key here with gavin and steve the only real guys on the go in the big city, me in charlie636 are just startin out and hope that promoters will appreciate that the crowds really remember the stunters the most when they leave the show!

Scott, Hawco, Cirtem, Steve and I noticed this last year, we did a few shows for nothing to help get our foot in the door.. However this year we had planned on doing no shows for free, unless it was benefitial to our shop "supportors/sponsors" and or for charity...

We felt the same way that if we undercut ourselves any long it would f*ck us and possibly others in the long run..

so it's put out or get out.. sorta thing! lol

However its a good thing we do not have competitors here to comepete with out prices, well.... maybe.. Charlie and Rob could try to undercut us and steal the shows.. hahahahaha

Anyway I feel your pain.. You guys are pushin the sport in canada to a new level, so with time it might all work out.. hopefully we all can work together to come up with a uniform price for a "stunt show" in canada... that all of us would quote the promoters...

 

Well it turns out in this case its not an undercut. Its just a slimey backstab. After i let him do the show he gives the promoter his number and sets up the entire series of 13 shows next year without mentioning a word to me or even thinking of including me, but since the promoter had both our numbers it was ok .So terry loyd isnt an under cutter, he is just a piece of **** that doesnt have the ***** still to call me. All it means is im out at least 13g for being a nice guy. So whatever life goes on. DONT SHARE YOUR SHOWS to people you think are your friends. Im an idiot, and terrys a piece of ****, end of story.

 

ok ,my question is what should stunters in Canada be charging?
I heard both sides of this story and I know the Chaos boys better then I know Scott so I from what I heard there is more to this
What did the Chaos boys get paid for the show that you booked for them Scott?

 

There is nothing more to it man, i let him ride in my absence thinking that it would be fine. He was a friend so i figured hed have fun do the show get some money and then i'd carry on with the rest of the shows when i was available.. Not the case. Shows like that should be a MINIMUM of 1000 dollars a show. The first one was 500 cuz the promoter had no idea who we were or the level so as a tryout 500 was agreed, and after that 1000 a show. Like i said im the real idiot here. Wont make that mistake again, but now you know how much of a ****** terry really is.

 

1000 seems fair for a team...

i know fmx dudes get paid 750cnd, each, as fillers...

1000-1500 each, if they can flip...

500-1000 for stuntriding team show seems to be a decent price, it depends on the size of the venue as well though...

if tickets are like you said 20-25 a person, and the venue holds 10,000 people... 1000 bux a show is decent... in a smaller venue.. say max of 2,000 - 4,000 people... 500 bux a team seems reasonable to me, for about 10-15 minutes of work..

this is based on aprrox 3 riders though..

thats just my opinion, anyone care to agree or disagaree???

 

sucks about undercutting, the thing you have to do is MAKE SURE the promotor knows that he gets what he pays for. i know thomas had a little issue with the monter jam stuff here in the states early on...just had to educate the promotor on the quality of riding/entertainment/professionalism/safety. if he wants to cheap out, he will get what he pays for.

sucks that that situation can ruin for some people, but that's the way it goes.
