I layed down a 180 stoppie on some wet blacktop... bad concussion and broke my wrist in 3 places. I know im not the first, how long till you guys were riding again after a broken wrist?

It took mine 3 months. Once it has healed a good bit ask for a soft cast so you can massage your wrist and beging to move it. Other wise you could loose some movement

 

bad way to start the season

 

I broke my left wrist back in the day !!! It is hard to pull in the clutch in stop n go traffic!! Let it heel ! dont push it! trust me! Physical therapy is worth it! Good luck!!

woow i just had wrist surgery got 1 pin on my wrist on december n im still not able to move it completely and its been 4 than four months .... Let it heal properly n follow ur doctors indications... Feel better get better

 

a few months for sure,if you broke the scaphoid bone then even longer

 

I broke mine like 2 years ago and I pretty much will always have about 75% mobility,I had complications though

 

A few ribs, tail bone, fingers, nose and tibia but never a wrist, id bet you got some pain pills tho... listen to your Doc.

 

Well, I went down 4 weeks ago and had a really bad sprain. And I still can't put a lot of pressure on it. I'd say you better take it easy for a few months.

 

Shattered mine back in '04 in a wheelie gone wrong. Didn't do enough therapy and I still have complications today. Follow docor's orders and let it heal properly and do the therapy if you need it. I got about 85% mobility and always have to wear a wrist guard when I ride now.

 

listen to these guys. i broke mine 7 months ago, it took 4 months to get like 85 percent mobility back. i still have pain, and clutching is a bitch. it SUCKS. its probably never going to go back to normal. do physical therapy. i had no insurance, so i didnt get anything. they just xrayed me said "yep its broken. that'll be 2500 dollars! have a nice day" and kicked me out of the ER. lol.

 

busted my left wrist (scaphoid and radius) last year, drunk snowboarding was a bad idea, took three months in a full arm cast and 1 month in a short cast. I got 100% movement back though

Dr. said 6 weeks... i cut the part of my cast around my hand so i could ride with it on week 4...


I still feel it(6 years later). I was a dumbass. Do what the Dr. tells you and do the PT

 

thanks alot guys, i guess this is no joke. I guess i did brake that wierd one by my thumb and they said it could be serious... what makes me laugh is that I did it on friday and the earliest orthopedic apt I could get was wed this week... Way to go excella health. lol

 

Broke my scaphoid 2 months in cast 2 months in splint Could ride the day i got the cast off just hurt like a bitch But i also Fucked up my Tendons And ligaments in the wrist that was worse then the broken Scaphoid Pain wise.

 

If it is your scaphoid They keep you in a cast alot longer cause it can mess up your blood flow If it does not heal right Good luck Hope you dont have to get cut on. i was lucky and mine healed right.
