took a hard hit and bent the motor mount bolt on my cage striped 3 sockets on it and got one of those sockets for striped bolts the bolt came out abot a 1/4 in and then snaped still holing the motor in the frame how the hell do i get it out

 

with a drill

center punch the bolt, then start drilling with good drill bits. I have a broken bit in a bolt in my F4i that I have yet to get out. I have some carbide end mills I'm going to use. most drill bits CAN NOT be drilled through, they are hardened steel.

 

i thought so ...lucky you didn't break your frame , stator cover and engine case

 

the cage is fucked and the bolt was so bent i couldent even loosen it with my hands i had to tie the bike up in my garage and jump on the wrench

kick it over, yell and call it bad names ,then use a drill if nothing else works.

 

 

Next pick up a cage from OMR, so you don't have to go through this crap again.

sub cage that is

 

take an angel grinder with a cutoff wheel if ya got one and cut inbetween the frame mount and the motor if ya get what im saying there may be a little gap that you can get in there and cut the bolt and the motor should drop then take a drill and get that bolt out the motor. thats what i did on my 1kRR

 

sucks, Been there with bolts before but not on a motor mount thankfully.
