Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
you broke your gixxer trying to work on it, bought another bike, lost the keys and broke it because you dont wanna call a locksmith. do i have that right? call the locksmith.
Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
+1 on the locksmith. Besides, if you get pulled over (if you stop) the cops will arrest you because the bike looks like it's stolen, and they won't buy the "I lost my keys" excuse, and anyone that notices your bike looks beat up around the ignition, will phone the cops.
Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
and as long as the bike is NOT stolen they aren't gonna arrest you for a stolen bike

Ya if they see a fucked ignition, they will DEFINITELY run the vin.. but they aren't gonna just assukme its stolen ad lock you up
Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
Very true. Im not to worried about it really. two more days till the new stuff comes in..
lol I doubt there is any law stating you must have and ignition in tact

Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
ok but if you wouldve just got a new key cut you couldve been riding till you get your new parts and then resold the old stuff. you just cost yourself even more money by breaking stuff is all.

Let's be honest, cop walks up, sees the ignition, hears "It's mine, I just lost the keys, and I needed to ride it right now", the cop says "why didn't you go to a locksmith?" and gets a "oh, I umm don't need this ignition because there's a new one coming", he's gonna cuff you and throw you in his cruiser. Not worth the hassle to me.
Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
i was just looking at the fact that you couldnt figure out how to get it to run, and it had a full tank of gas, then it suddenly became an empty tank. seemed a bit odd to me.
Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
The best way to obtain new motorcycle keys is by using the key code number: The key code number is usually on a tag that is on the ring with the new keys when the motorcycle is purchased new. Sometimes it is on the key itself. Sometimes it is recorded in the owners manual. Sometimes it is on one or more of the locks although most of the newer motorcycles are getting away from that. You may be able to obtain it from the dealer that sold the motorcycle.
Re: Lost KeyyS!!!
I couldnt get it to run becacuse I didnt know How to bypass the ignition....When I figured it out I rode the bike around.....Seems to burn fuel when I do that
