anybody know what the lengths are for the front and rear brake lines on the 2003 636? i found the part #s for both galfer and OEM but cant find the lengths. my buddy is on his way to st. loui and needs the lengths cuz hes getting some lines made for cheap while he is up there. thanks in advance for any help.

just use a string on your 636 and go from banjo to banjo and then measure it.....

i would just run 2 lines, if you want IV i will get you a length later on this evening of my boys 03 636, are you running db bars or clip-ons????

dont want to jack the thread but just wondering if the 80' line will work from the rear 4 piston on a hohey dual set up to a hb on db bars?

Thats stock set up though. If he wants the direct inject line set up, Its going to be 27" ~30"+, 19"

 

i didnt say u were guessing ZxHunteR, i was just voicing my opinion that the piggyback setup with 3 lines SUCKS!!!!! and if he is going to spend money on s.s. lines i would go with 2 long lines, 1 to each caliper instead

i'd stick with the 28" instead of 27". especially if you ever plan on runnin high rise bars in the future

FYI i still run a cross-over on the front. i murder the front brakes at the lot and never seem to have a problem. whats the advantage of getting rid of the cross-over? ive never had a problem with air in them.

 

at first you won't notice the air, but after a week or so of riding the air will work it way out of the junction box and make your brake spongy.

 

getting rid of the crossover will make break bleeding easy like sex

 

i guess it does seem a little spongy compared to my HB. its a rock. of course they are diff masters too.
i might just try this out my own self. you didnt by any chance get those measurements from your boy last night did ya? i think 28" and ~30"-32" will prob work.
