I read a couple guides, and looked at pictures, and built my own bead breaker a couple days ago..

Once it warms up gonna bolt the last couple boards together and test it out and post pics

at the spot guys use their ramps. they take the ramp and put the metal part between the rim and bead. run up and jump on it

Re: changing tires...any good less expensive tire changing tools?

I have never balanced any of my wheels. Never saw the point since they go through hell. I dont see it making that much of a difference.

Ive seen people use a kickstand of a bike to break the tire bead as well. Two people, one stands on the wheel, the other strategically places the kickstand and presses. Bead is broke!

Where did he get those great spoons at though???

The only real reason you need to balance is if you are on the street or racing well over 100mph. but for stunting i really dont bother on the rear i do sometimes do it for the front if its way off or i place on doing alot of stoppies. i use the 2X4 with a block nailed to it placed under my trailer hitch to break the beads. I want to know where he got those spoons to those are killer.

go to harbor freight and buy the tire changer with motorcycle attachment.

$100

Is there a difference between a tire spoon and tire iron? And if so what are the spoons for? I always just use tire irons.

tire iron I'm pretty sure is the wrench you use to remove lug nuts..

Tire spoon is the tool you use to 'spoon' tires off

As when you hear someone getting beat down with a tire iron, I assume they mean the tool to remove a spare tire from a car, NOT a set of tire spoons

according to wiki a tire iron can be the same thing as a tire spoon...
yet I always hear 4 ways being called tire irons lol

Guess its just who you here it from

I take my bike over 100 and I trust changing tires myself

If you pop it on the bead nothing can go wrong changing yourself (except of course scratching your rims! I would never suggest someone with nice/painted rims to use spoons)
