Found a new spot to ride

We live in a small town here where I am and my buddy and I have a tough time finding places to practice/ride. Had a few good spots and have successfully gotten run out of most of them. One was a nice fenced in parking lot and the cops ran us off because they got a report of ''juveniles riding dirt bikes in there'' . Two weeks later they put in speed bumps so we couldn't use it.

After a long search, and thanks to google earth (and a friends random recommendation ) we found a new spot. It needs quite a bit of cleanup but its perfect except its 15 miles from town. Took a couple pix with my phone tonight when we went to scope it out.

BTW.. My truck is a lifted F250 powerstroke and it looks small in the pix, we'll have plenty of room..

Re: Found a new spot to ride

Im not worried about it... If they can get there they can come on... Its public land out here in about 90% of the open space anyway. Dirt bikes and stuff are all over that area ( except the concrete !) all the time. Everyone just drives right past that spot. Im trying to screen shot the google earth image where I found it at. You'll see why nobody goes there, especially police.

If you type in the coordinates Latitude : 32°36'25.91"N Longitude: 104°21'41.47"W You'll see it haha

Re: Found a new spot to ride

15 miles from town is perfect but posting all the info for any one to find it might be a bad idea ...

probably gonna suck for stoppies cause of all the sand and the concrete squares are probably gonna make it bumpy but it will be good for every thing else ...

Re: Found a new spot to ride

I know what you guys are saying ( your spots are pretty sacred i know ) Out at this spot its used for shooting, drinking and other activities in that take place in the desert, never crossed my mind to haul the stunter out there.. It wont be bothered by johnny law thats for sure, especially if they dont bother the ATV's that have been going there for years and years...

The stoppie thing is a good point though, have to find out I guess..

Re: Found a new spot to ride

Wont be out there alone thats for sure. We also have a big rattlesnake problem around here and areas like that is what they love ( if you cant tell its right at the mouth of a dry lake bed and opening to what is the new lake ) .Getting bit out there would not be good at all.. I've got a herd of recruits that like to spectate that are gonna get behind some push brooms and keep it clean for us also.

my 2 cents

cops look at quads/dirtbikes/atv's as being 'toys' made for the trail/parkinglot/whatnot..

Cops look at sport bikes like cars, vehicles that belong on the road, vehicles that should only be driven legally and safely..

Re: Found a new spot to ride

Well considering there are only like a half a dozen Sheriffs on duty in our county usually, it would be hard to even get one to go out there even if called for a noise disturbance or something anyway.. Worth the risk I guess you could say, what could they possibly charge you with anyway? I cant think of anything that would stick really...

Re: Found a new spot to ride

We went out to the new spot today with some brooms and buckets and did some clean up. Trying to get it picked up more before we take the big bikes out. We took one of the mini bikes with us just to mess around with. It does make for some nice pix out here thats for sure!
