i cracked my frame over a year ago and it was that bad but today when i got it out of storage i was getting it out of a tight spot and it pushed and cracked my frame even more heres a pic but not a good 1 but it gives and idea what im talking about..... and that 12 bar my friend made thought it would be easier to learn 12s i took it off and put my 905 bar on it so dont flame too bad......

 

well first if thats a mohawk on your helmet.... if you get rid of that it would help the crack out ALOT!! then go find a good tig welder and have him fix it... that would be your best bet

 

1. Try to get a better pic so we can see how bad the crack is..
2. how much for the CRX

trust me its bad almost all the way thru i will get a better pic tomorrow but its cracked about 3 inches down and i think almost all the way thru...... this pic is old the crx has been gone for a long time alrdy

thats how bad mine was before today but now its worse than that

 

im waiting for mine to fail too....ben like that for a year now.....once it snaps we are going to cut it out and weld in a new piece......Supposedly the guy from powers said he would fix it if i send him the frame......well see.....Hey im In ABQ, NM

 

send it to me, I will weld it powdercoat it and ship it back for 100.00 plus shipping back to ya

 

i had a ninja and cracked the frame in 3 spots on the welds, clean through separating them frame from itself in all 3 spots. i sold the bike and the guy who bought it had it all welded up sweet and painted the frame and rides that thing every year and beats on it too.

 

mines real bad hopefully i can get it done asap.... i havent rode in a long time i was just learning bp before i quit cause i needed to spend more time with my 3 year old but now im rdy to hit it again and i know i will be falling again many times........i doubt the guy from powers would follow thru on that and even if he did take ur frame u would be S.O.L. for a long time......... ive been wanting to go to albq and ride up there

 

where do u live? its prolly too far away and shipping would be expensive and would cost the same to get it done here

 

how do u guys recommend i get it welded? my cage is bent it and i will have to purchase a new 1 if the fix it like how it use to be

 

shipping around 40.00 you could just send the frame not boxed up, then I would wrap it good to send it back to you

 

i had a gixxer that formed a hairline crack at the neck.
after riding it around like that for 2 years and thinking it wouldnt get any bigger and figuring "eh i aint worried about it, it'll be fine" this is what happened...







weld that **** asap! either ask one of your buddies if they know someone who is experienced in welding aluminum and will do it on the weekend for cash, or bring it to a place and pay the money to get it proffessionally welded. a new frame will cost you a hell of alot more.

thats gonna be tough to fix,that whole ear of the frame needs to be chopped off and replaced, dont cheap out, research and find the best welder/fabricator in your area and drop the $$,do both sides too.
ps lose that 12 bar before it chops your *** in half
