ok so i gotta 2000 f4 and want to convert it to f4i

can i use f4 bottom end with f4i head... 06 harness ,ecm, and so on and 06 throttle bodies? what year head do i need?

i posted this a couple times but didnt get any clear answers so any1 know..? thanks for the help

 

save yourself the hassel and buy and f4i motor

broke ninja... plus think about it.. everyone want lots of $$$ for f4i motor...f4 motors are like 300 bucks... i can geta f4i head for around a hundred .. i got 06 harness.. complete with ecu reg relays.. and throttle bodies for $90 bucks off rickman on here...so then ill just need handle bar switch and fuel tank/pump..?

I'm not sure if anyone here has the knowledge or experience to help you with this. I own an F4i and wrench on it regularly and I can't answer your question. Maybe OMR knows, but if I were you, I would make friends with your local Honda dealership service writer and have him look up the part #'s. That would be the best person to help you with this. i can do that at work, when you work with part#'s enough you'll realize that even if they r different they can still work...i guess ima be the one to find out **** it... ill build it and if it runs shity fucked up or not at all ill start over...

you need an airbox, there is a sensor on it for the EFI.

 

my boys a tech too he told me you cant use the f4 block for an f4i motor. said something about a sensor in the front of it but hell if i know if it works lmk id love to do one too.

 

at one point i was on a big ride and a guy told me he had some setup that could convert my f4 to fuel injection....hadn't heard of it before, or since then, but something you may wan2 check in2. If ya ask me it was something that sounded way too good to be true ya know....but i've been seeing tons of f4i motors going for 6-800 with ecm around here

 

i am looking into the same thing and i did find out that the part numbers for the head gaskets will fit, which means that the head will fit correctly but as far as all the sensors im not sure

 

It can be done .. That is what i ride But a few things you can not use an f4 head cam shafts are different . The SENSOR you all are refuring to is the pulse generater sensor ( But when you put the f4i head on it should be there) You also have to modify your coolant system (note you will not have an manual choke , your new choke will run threw your coolant system)...
