how to make stunt cage????

Like the title states, Has anyone made there own cage. What is the easiest to work with to make one. If someone can make a list on how to do it that would help alot. I was thinking some metal pipes at home depot, I have a welder but no pipe bender

it wont be easy with out a bender its a pain in the ***. in order to make a cage that is worth a **** your gona need to study what you are doing and brace it properly. your best bet is to look at some cages on the market and copy some of the designs. tell you the truth the amount of time you will have in it your better off buying one what bike is it for?

What are you going to do when your weak cage fails and actually does more damage than its worth.....FRAMES =$1000

I paid the extra crash and got the sickest cage TYGERSHARK

Y would you want anything less gaurding you Thousands of dollars ( BIKE )

Ive wreaked mine many times and picked it up every time and keep going.

Re: how to make stunt cage????

call tygershark and order one.

i made a couple last year and gave up shortly after.

nahhh but if you're serious, to get you started:
1. buy 2 inch tubing
2. 2 inch solid pipe and slice off 1/4inch
3. drill the slice with a 1/2 bit(for the engine mount bolt)
4. weld the slice to your tube.

for the rear mount, you can use a square flat plate, or another tubing (i.e. tygershark vs. 905), and then drill another 1/2" hole in there for the rear mount bolts (subframe or where ever you're gonna mount it)

if you don't have a bender, just slide tubings, and weld a million pieces together to get your desired bend.

NOTE: cover the frame and the ENTIRE bike if you're gonna be spot-welding around it...i scuffed mine up pretty good

lastly, good luck
