Im just glad you got rid of the Bike-queer-boyz look.... god that **** was homo... i applaud the video good work, I just painted my bike I didnt get footage of the painting part i probably should of, no rattle can here, lol i spent about 300 on paint, primer, sandpaper, and random ****... And i know a guy at the paint shop that hooked me up with high end ppg paints, I did the stock honda white and red color scheme but with no decals, and threw some chrome pearl in the red... ill post pics when i get back to NY and get around to puttin the **** on

 

Nice... If I had the money to do it with good paint I definitely would... Cant wait to see the pics of your ****.. Sounds Ill...

And to MJL.. I'm tryin! LoL It has been pouring rain here the past couple days, And I was out of town visiting family Yesterday... So i'm gonna try to go out tomorrow and get some footage.... I'll keep ya'll posted..

And it looks OK. Not my color of choice, but looks good. Especially for a rattle can job. Post a FF pic when you have it. I hate streetfighters.

Yeah, I don't like streetfighter AT ALL!! Just doesn't look right and I cant ride like I can full fairing.... It holds me back from doing alot of different tricks.. I will definitely post up as soon as I get her all put together.. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

i just pick up a 01 gixxer 600 and wanted to change out the front end for a 06 600 do u know if it will fit what all did u mod on your bike? get at me

I actually didn't do any mods.. But I know that, that conversion can be made... I heard it's not that hard either... Never done it though so I don't know...

an 05 600 will bolt up nice just went from an 03 to an 05 front end. need forks, both triples, and calipers and the fender was different. wheel fits fine without having to buy a different spacer. not sure on the 06 tho, may need the wheel as well.

Hey how much did you sand it? It doesn't look like much and it turned out good. I'm doing the same but think I may be doing extra work for the results I want. And what kind of paint did you use? Is it still holding up pretty well?

 

Found some pics... Before sanding, post sanding and post paint/clear I used PPG paint and a few diff. Grits of sand paper, not anything big just enough to make sure there was no shine to the old paint job... Also threw up a side shot of my bike while i was working on it to show off some of the powder coating i did... (Rear pegs-red, Brackets-white, heelguards-red, T-brackets and side bars from cage-red) Gonna do swingarm and subframe white once i gusset the subframe, and levers white and red... Notice the beer pong ***** and cooler... lol had to have something to kill the time while paint was drying and our paint high was fading away!!

Oh! and where ever there were cracks or broken parts we V'd out the cracks like a weld on both sides and filled it with high strength and used it like bondo so it looks perfect and is stronger... we even used the bondo to fill in a spot where a chunk was missing you cant even tell. The red we used is darker than it looks, its honda red, but has a chrome pearl in it... Looks dope!

I sanded alot where the chips were from smashing it in, And then just took a fine grit and took off the top layer of the clear from the old paint... Its holding up really well... I'll keep ya'll posted after I ride it tonight how its holdin up.... Gonna get some photos of her in action tonight, so stay tuned!!


**** looks sick... I wanna powder coat my rear sets and **** baby blue as well..
