I just got my 905 stunt stay in the mail. It is sitting on the bike now mocked up. I am still waiting to get it powdercoated flat black texture so I haven't used it yet. Who has one? Do you like it? Has anyone broken one during usual stunting? I'm not talking about 100 mph into a wall, just normal riding. Any complaints? I'm just curious cuz I plan to **** my K6 Gix up. again. and again.

 

mine bends a lot, I usually bend it back, but I have a feeling its gonna crack one day...

 

from what? just riding? holding onto it during circles? Or flipping it during stoppies?

 

I ran the old version for about 3 yrs on my 636. Held up really well. I have the new version ready to go on for this season. Pretty excited as I was using the lower old version with the stock gauge bracket and I was going through brackets like there was no tomorrow.

 

I have the new version. Is it that much better?

 

I've seen em bend from flipped stoppies. Go with a Naarden or Johnny P if you can. But they aren't horrible. My boy just got a new one so we'll see how it holds up.

I wanted a Johnny P. I ordered the Naarden though to see how it does. It looks good. Look in the first link for the pic.

 

I run a JohnnyP but my buddy has the 905 on his 05' and it holds up great as well. Doesnt look anywhere near as pimp as the JohnnyP stay and its alot lighter as well

 

I have a 905 and it has held up for me and my bike has taken some hard hits. BUT with the bars turned out they hit the stay. I will be making changes to the stay this year.

 

What is awesome about the 905 stay I mounted on a friends bike, is the .5 inch of material I had to grind off to fit in the 636 frame duct. Ohh, and not to forget drilling new mounting holes. I should have pulled out the welder and made a new stay at that point. 905

i t-boned a car with a 905 stunt stay on my 07 gixxer 600 (not my fault lol) and it saved the whole upper after the front end of my bike caved in the door of the car...one complaint when i had it...WAY TOOOOO HEAVY!!!!!

i had a johnnyp stunt stay on my 636 for a hot minute..loved it. super light and stronger then the 905...my 2cents
